What I do to make a quote for machine quilting is

• get the length and width of the quilt top in inches
• make sure the quilt top is square (less than 1/2 inch difference along sides to make it possible to quilt flatly)
• multiply the length and width
• divide by 1296 (a square yard)
• round up to the nearest half yard
• apply $25 a square yard for simple quilting
• discuss the quilting pattern to determine the requested quilting
• maybe increase the price per square yard if needed
• add $10 per 2 square yards thread fee
• add actual retail cost of batting
• quote for machine quilting

Custom tote bags in fabric selected by you are $75 each.

Custom shoulder bags in fabrics selected by you are $100 each.

All other sewing is $20 per hour.

All work is subject to taxes and shipping where applicable.
